Extended Day Care Program
The "Day Care" program was first started during the 1988-89 school year. It has
continued to be a great success and will be offered again for the next school year.
Mrs. Pat Dearling will be in charge of the program and will have one morning helper
from 7:30 - 8:00am and an afternoon assistant. Her assistants are reliable Emmanuel
students and volunteers.
Proper supervision will be provided during all day care hours and under no condition
will a child be permitted to leave the school without a parent or authorized person
except in case of an emergency when Mrs. Dearling will take the child to Tiny Tots
Medical Clinic behind Marché de l'ouest, or depending on the severity of the child's
injury, to the Montreal Children's Hospital.
Should the parent be unable to pick up the child/children, they will contact the school
stating who will be picking them up. **Please note that the switchboard closes at 4:00pm.**
The children have to be picked up by 6:00pm at the very latest. There will be a penalty charged for any child
remaining after 6:00pm as a supervisor will be needed to remain with the child.
No provision for Day Care can be made for Pedagogical Days, Holidays or emergency
closings.
Please send an extra snack for your child/children as they are always hungry and it
provides a break for them.
The fee is $900.00 per year per child. This is paid over ten months by issuing
post-dated cheques to Emmanuel Christian School.
The rate for occasional use is $10.00 per day no matter if it is for only one hour or
for morning and afternoon.
An application form for the Daycare program will be included in the summer package,
which will be mailed to all students enrolled in our school, and should be returned to
the school by the end of August.
The Emmanuel Christian School Transportation Ministry operates four mini-busses which are driven by qualified bus drivers.
Every attempt is made to operate the bus ministry independently of the school budget, thus a separate monthly bus fee is charged
to students using the service. Every year the bus routes change depending on the requests for bussing from the students. The
vehicles will be sent to areas, on and off the island of Montreal, where there are the most requests. Please be reminded that
the school cannot guarantee rider ship. Please contact the school office to verify rates and bus routes. The Transportation Ministry Committee and applicable driver will review your application and contact you as soon
as they have reached a decision.
We hope that the Transportation Ministry can be of service to you and your child during the upcoming school year.
